Solid solid win. Good effort all around. Nice if the boys could lighten the load on Igor next game.. holy cow that 1st period onslaught was crazy.

They need the dedicate an ENTIRE practice to faceoffs.....

- MiloslavHorava

Pretty sure at one point they had Messier in to help with faceoffs and that didn't help either

He was ridiculous last night, the puck control and skating ability are elite. Now he has paired both with an increased focus in the playoffs, taking his game up several notches, if possible.

When he skates it looks like the rest of the players on the ice are in slow motion.

His possession game is the biggest difference to me. He was always elite at producing off the rush, maybe the best ever, but he would often force plays that weren't there in an effort to create something and it would result in a rush going the other way and his defense suffered from it. It would drive me crazy and I think contributed a lot to their losing and him scoring 100+ points and finishing the year as a minus.

He really seems to have fixed that and while he's still producing like crazy off the rush he's holding onto the puck more when the play isn't there and finding it later.

Definitely glad he's in the West after having to face Sid/Ovi for the past 15+ years

Nice win to get back in this series. But HOLY S%$# Do we mis Barclay Goodrow! Someone please learn to win a face-off! OMG thats just unbelievable! As for game 3, the Rangers need to stop going out of their way to hit or retaliate. They need finish their checks when applicable but not to take yourself out of the play. You see #21 trying to goat people in, he and #7 (Thats right, they don't deserve to have their names listed) Its gotten chippy and they way that this team is supposed be "heavier or harder to play against" not working. The first two games of the Pitt series, we didnt know if the Pens men would make it through the game. Where is that hitting/ checking? Where did it go? Its time to light these Canes up! And will someone please punch Deangleo in the mouth! What a pos! LETS GO BOYS, Take it back to Carilona tied 2-2! LGR!!!!!

Love Gallant's comments about Domi's antics.

Curious now if Reaves will challenge Domi in Game 4.

Rangers Playoff hockey... there's nothing else like it.

He's not going to bother because Domi would never fight him. Reaves is like half a foot taller and has about 40 lbs on him

Nah, would be stupid for the Rangers to be targeting anyone. Domi got his crosscheck in and the Rangers went after him. End of story. Rangers need to worry about playing a complete game, not worry about Domi, Tony, or anyone else for that matter

You mean like everyone his old man fought.. Little Domi is more than a chip off the old mans block.. I think he'd pretty much go with anyone...

I'd like to see it also...

Tie would fight anyone in his day, idk if his son could do that. This is all silly tho, I mean it’s message he sent for the next game/rest of the series, that we don’t need to kill the guy over Lindgren took care of it on the spot anyway. We don’t need to be waking any sleeping giants that’s for sure.

This series is going quite swimmingly if you ask me, we’ve probably outplayed them most of the 180+ minutes of hockey so far imo and should probably be up 2-1

No doubt.. can't lose focus. Keep those shot against down.. don't want Igor looking at 40+ every game no matter how well he's playing.
